Thank you all so much for your thoughts and good wishes. My mom died this morning at 6:30 am, at home, after an evening being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. We’ll miss her forever.

I’m sad to hear this, Marie, but reminded of my own mother’s long, slow leaving (cancer,) and of the peace which accompanied the sorrow of losing her. Those last few months were hard then, as I’m sure these have been for you.
The world turns, and as our parents’ stars set we turn to watch the rising of our sons and daughters, and the rightness of it all becomes apparent.

The love you have for your mother is so beautiful, i can only imagine how much she must have doted on wonderful you.
